2026 Hall of Fame Contemporary Era Vote

 The HoF Veterans Committee rotation has now circled back to the Contemporary Era, with many names on this years ballot similar to what was on the 2023 variation. This year will bring a new wrinkle to the voting rules. There are 16 people on the voting committee, and if you do not get at least five votes, then you will not be on the next ballot. If that were true for the 2023 vote, then Bonds and Clemens would not have been allowed on this years ballot. As it stands, failing to hit the 5 vote minimum does not prevent you from ever again appearing on a C.E. ballot, just the very next one. Multiple instances of failure, however, will mean you're gone forever. Only time will tell how this format will fare.
