Logo Wish List - AL
Finally getting around to my wish list for AL team logos for the amazing Showdown Bot to maybe add one day. Once again, all logos found at Sportslogos.net
I've been over this before. Indians need the appropriate logo for their glory 90s days.
The current cartoon bird is fun and all, but Ripken played under a certain different (and far superior) cartoon bird.
A bit different than todays Red Sox look, and yet, much more appropriate.
The timeless SOX logo is nice, but this look defined the Sox of the 80s.
The old English D is timeless, yes. But the Bot forces an orange D that from what I can tell was never a primary or secondary logo for Detroit. Plus, putting an actual tiger in the logo is much more cool.
There is a long list of better Astros logos than the only one the Bot makes available, but gimme some old school in the Colt .45s first.
The Royals employ a mandala effect with their logo. You think it's unchanged, but they originally had an R in the logo primarily before switching to just the KC.
Back when the Angels claimed the entire state of California. The original showing of the A with the halo before they brought back the more classic CA look...before they dumped it foolishly to become the Anaheim Angels, then the Los Angeles Angels...of Anaheim.
This logo won 2 titles. They they got cute and changed the look more recently. I prefer this one.
The Yankees had their iconic NY forever before busting this logo out in 1947. Lasted about 20 years before they changed to the cleaned up logo we enjoy today.
Kansas City As logos weren't always the "As" that some of the Bot gives you. For a while beforehand there was the KC look.
Ken Griffey Jr rookie cark demands this logo...
Original look even the original Showdown sets uses. The Bot seems to think the other option for the "Devil" Rays was all they ever used. Ugly, yes, but also more charming in my opinion.
The current logo is garbage compared to this sweetness from the 90s.
This is the logo that won back to back titles. Yeah, the team currently uses a tweaked version, but this one is better.
